Registration criteria

Stage 1 — the Matura certificate competition

Admission shall include the Matura certificate competition – the results of the subjects indicated below, which are taken as part of the Matura examination in the written part, shall be taken into account:

·         The result of the certificate competition is the sum of three items x weight of 10%,
subject to the condition that — the result of the basic level exam shall be multiplied by the conversion factor of 0.5, at the extended level by the conversion factor of 1.

·         If a candidate has taken a subject at the Matura exam at both levels, the result from the level which is more favourable to the candidate after applying the conversion factor shall be considered.
The same subject may be included twice in the admission process, provided the candidate has passed it at two levels, i.e., basic and extended.

·         The score of the bilingual exam from the modern foreign language shall be converted to the score at the extended level by multiplying it by 4/3; The maximum result from the extended level shall not exceed 100% (if higher, the final value shall be 100%).

·         Detailed rules for the admission of candidates with the old Matura shall be outlined in § 14 of the Resolution.

 

 

Stage 2 – Competency-based interview Type of interview for which the candidate prepares speeches on two subjects of choice, reflecting the candidate's interest. The candidate shall provide subjects by adding to each of them the literature of the subject (at least 3 items) within the time limit set in the admission procedure schedule (on the College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies website). The Committee shall select one subject at the beginning of the competence interview. The interview shall be graded on a scale of 0 to 40 points. A positive result from the competence interview shall be a minimum score of 15 points. The receipt by the candidate of fewer than 15 points or the absence in the test shall disqualify the candidate from the entire admission procedure.

A joint ranking list covering candidates with the "new" and "old" Matura will be created based on the sum of the points obtained from the admission procedure.
